The Genkidamatsuri, an event held to celebrate the 40th anniversary of Dragon Ball, has marked a turning point for fans of Akira Toriyama’s legendary series, Dragon Ball, heading into 2026. 

As part of the franchise’s 40th anniversary, new projects have been announced that confirm the series is more alive than ever: new anime productions, a long-awaited remake, and a completely original video game featuring a character designed by Akira Toriyama himself.
